This integration allows for seamless access to data, enabling architects, engineers, contractors and asset managers to make informed, sustainable choices from the early design phase to end-of-life planning.

Locally, material passports could prove invaluable for managing large-scale infrastructure projects, urban redevelopment, and sustainable housing initiatives. As tools like lifecycle assessment (LCA) become more widely adopted in Australia, passports will offer a complementary way to manage material flows and carbon impacts.
